Company Information

Solar panels in a residential property

Aissac Electrical & Solar are based in Aberdeen, Scotland. The company was formed in 2006 to provide electrical maintenance and installation to local customers, and to research the possibilities of renewable energy technology with respect to electricity generation.

After two years intensive research we can now offer a complete service providing information, advice, design, installation, commissioning and certification for any solar PV system.

In order to offer such a comprehensive service AND to enable our customers to take advantage of government grants, we found we needed to become accredited within the MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme). We achieved this in December 2007, not only becoming the FIRST MCS accredited solar PV installer in Scotland but also doing it with no non-conformances in our procedures and services. We are therefore confident you will not find better value for money or a more professional service anywhere in Scotland!

Aissac Electrical & Solar is run by two partners. Ruth runs the Administration and has a background in Quality Management, and Dave is Technical Expert with an extensive background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His qualifications gained over thirty years both on- and off-shore include High Voltage Distribution, Maintenance and Protection Systems including Hazardous Areas Equipment. This makes us highly – and possibly uniquely – qualified to offer the services we do in Solar PV.

Being a small company we are also able to offer a personal, friendly and professional service tailored to your requirements.

Proposals to overhaul the planning process in Scotland could lead to a boom in micro-generation projects:

- John Swinney Feb 2009

"The problem we should be concerning ourselves with is not climate change but the fact there are too many people and not enough energy resources.

"Looking for alternative energy sources has to become a key priority to counteract the continuing decline in global oil production which I predict we will experience....

"Natural gas could generate enough energy to meet the demand for only the next 5 to 10 years, but it is NOT a long term sustainable option."

- Kjell Aleklett, Aberdeen University March 2009
